Safe Haven Care Terms of Service

Welcome to Safe Haven Care, a digital ministry support and connection service provided by Safe Haven United Assembly (“Safe Haven,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).


Safe Haven Care is designed to help people reach out for prayer, encouragement, spiritual support, and connection with a Safe Haven leader. By accessing or using Safe Haven Care, you agree to these Terms of Service.


1. Purpose of Safe Haven Care


Safe Haven Care provides a conversational way to:

  • Request prayer or encouragement.
  • Receive general Christian and spiritual support.
  • Ask questions related to faith and spiritual growth.
  • Request connection with a Safe Haven leader.
  • View available appointment times and schedule a conversation when appropriate.


Safe Haven Care is intended to support human connection, not replace it.


2. Use of Artificial Intelligence


Safe Haven Care uses artificial intelligence to assist with responding to messages and determining how a request should be routed.

AI-generated responses may occasionally be incomplete, inaccurate, or misunderstand the intent of a message. Safe Haven does not represent AI-generated content as pastoral, professional, medical, psychological, or legal advice.

When appropriate, Safe Haven Care may help connect a user with a human Safe Haven leader.



3. Not an Emergency Service


Safe Haven Care is not an emergency-response, crisis-intervention, medical, mental-health, or law-enforcement service.

If you believe you or another person is in immediate danger, requires urgent medical attention, or is experiencing another emergency, do not wait for a response through Safe Haven Care. Contact the appropriate local emergency services or seek immediate assistance from someone who can be physically present.

Safe Haven Care may identify certain messages as potentially urgent and alert an authorized Safe Haven leader. Such alerts are intended to support human follow-up and do not guarantee immediate contact or intervention.



4. Ministry Support, Not Professional Services


Safe Haven Care is a ministry resource of Safe Haven United Assembly.

Conversations through Safe Haven Care should not be considered a substitute for services provided by licensed physicians, mental-health professionals, counselors, attorneys, emergency responders, or other qualified professionals.

Spiritual encouragement or prayer provided through Safe Haven Care should not be interpreted as professional advice.



5. Appointments and Human Connection


When appropriate, Safe Haven Care may offer available appointment times for a conversation with a Safe Haven leader.

If you schedule an appointment:

  • A Google Calendar invitation may be sent to the email address associated with your Google account.
  • A Google Meet link may be created for the conversation.
  • Availability is subject to change until the appointment is successfully confirmed.
  • Safe Haven may need to reschedule or cancel an appointment when circumstances require it.



Scheduling an appointment does not create a professional counseling, medical, legal, or therapeutic relationship.



6. Appropriate Use


You agree to use Safe Haven Care respectfully and lawfully.

You may not use Safe Haven Care to:

  • Threaten, harass, impersonate, or abuse another person.
  • Attempt to compromise, disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
  • Submit malicious software, automated attacks, or intentionally harmful content.
  • Use the service for unlawful purposes.
  • Attempt to exploit the service or its underlying systems.


Safe Haven may restrict or discontinue access when necessary to protect users, the ministry, or the service.



7. Privacy and Information Handling


Your use of Safe Haven Care may involve information you voluntarily provide through Google Chat, including your name, email address, messages, and scheduling information.

Some information may be processed by technology providers used to operate Safe Haven Care.

Please review the separate Safe Haven Care Privacy Policy for additional information about how information is handled.

Do not submit passwords, financial account information, government identification numbers, or other information that is unnecessary for your care request.



8. Third-Party Services


Safe Haven Care relies on third-party technology and services, which may include Google Chat, Google Calendar, Google Meet, cloud infrastructure, and artificial-intelligence services.

Use of those services may also be subject to the applicable provider's terms and privacy practices.

Safe Haven is not responsible for outages, changes, interruptions, or failures caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control.



9. Availability of the Service


We aim to keep Safe Haven Care available and useful, but uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

Safe Haven may modify, suspend, update, or discontinue features of Safe Haven Care as the ministry and technology evolve.



10. Disclaimer


Safe Haven Care is provided on an “as available” basis for ministry support and connection.

While we seek to provide thoughtful, responsible, and compassionate interactions, Safe Haven does not guarantee that every AI-generated response, classification, appointment option, notification, or other automated action will be error-free.

Users should exercise appropriate judgment when relying on information provided through the service.



11. Limitation of Liability


To the extent permitted by applicable law, Safe Haven United Assembly and its leaders, volunteers, representatives, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of, inability to use, or reliance upon Safe Haven Care.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to limit rights that cannot legally be limited.



12. Changes to These Terms


Safe Haven may update these Terms as Safe Haven Care develops.

The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of Safe Haven Care after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
