Safe Haven Care Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 23, 2026

Safe Haven United Assembly (“Safe Haven,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides Safe Haven Care, a digital ministry support and connection service available through Google Chat.

This Privacy Policy explains what information Safe Haven Care may receive, how that information is used, and the technologies involved in providing the service.

1. Information We May Receive

When you use Safe Haven Care, the service may receive information associated with your Google Chat interaction, including your name, email address, Google Chat user identifier, messages you voluntarily send, and scheduling information when you request an appointment.

You should not submit passwords, financial account information, government identification numbers, or other information that is unnecessary for your care request.

2. How We Use Information

Information received through Safe Haven Care may be used to respond to your request, provide prayer or spiritual encouragement, determine whether human follow-up may be appropriate, offer available appointment times, schedule conversations with a Safe Haven leader, send calendar invitations, generate Google Meet links, identify messages that may involve an urgent safety concern, and improve the operation and reliability of Safe Haven Care.

Safe Haven Care is not designed for advertising or the sale of personal information.

3. Artificial Intelligence Processing

Safe Haven Care uses artificial-intelligence technology to help understand messages, generate conversational responses, and classify requests for routing.

Information from a conversation may be transmitted to the AI service used by Safe Haven Care for processing.

AI-generated responses may be inaccurate or may misunderstand the intent of a message. Safe Haven Care uses additional application rules for certain safety-related situations and may route appropriate requests to a human Safe Haven leader.

4. Safety and Urgent Messages

If a message appears to indicate possible self-harm, harm to another person, immediate danger, serious violence, or an urgent medical situation, Safe Haven Care may generate an alert for an authorized Safe Haven leader.

Such an alert may include information necessary for follow-up, such as your name, available email address, Google Chat identifier, the message that triggered the alert, and the reason the system identified the conversation as potentially urgent.

Safe Haven Care is not an emergency-response service, and an automated alert does not guarantee immediate human contact or intervention.

If immediate assistance is needed, contact the appropriate local emergency services.

5. Scheduling Information

When you request a conversation with a Safe Haven leader, Safe Haven Care may use your Google account email address to send a Google Calendar invitation.

The system may check Safe Haven calendars for available times and may create a Google Meet link for a confirmed appointment.

Calendar events are intentionally given a general title such as “Safe Haven Care Conversation” and are not designed to include the personal details of your care request.

6. Technology Providers

Safe Haven Care relies on third-party technology providers to operate the service. These may include Google Chat, Google Calendar, Google Meet, Google Cloud services, Google Apps Script, and artificial-intelligence services.

Information processed by these providers may also be subject to their respective privacy policies, security practices, and terms.

7. Information Sharing

Safe Haven does not sell personal information received through Safe Haven Care.

Information may be shared with authorized Safe Haven leaders when reasonably necessary to provide requested human follow-up, respond to an identified safety concern, operate the service, comply with applicable law, or protect the rights or safety of individuals.

We seek to limit access to information to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.

8. Information Retention

Safe Haven Care is designed to minimize unnecessary storage of conversation information within its own application infrastructure.

However, messages and related information may remain available within Google Chat or other services according to the retention settings and policies applicable to those services.

Calendar appointments and related information may remain in the applicable Google Calendar unless deleted according to Safe Haven’s normal administrative practices.

9. Security

Safe Haven uses reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect the systems supporting Safe Haven Care.

No electronic service or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Users should exercise care when deciding what personal information to share through the service.

10. Children

Safe Haven Care is not specifically designed as a service directed to young children.

Parents or guardians should supervise a minor’s use of digital services when appropriate and should seek immediate professional or emergency assistance when a child’s safety may be at risk.

11. Your Choices

You may choose not to use Safe Haven Care and may contact Safe Haven United Assembly through other available ministry channels.

You may also choose not to schedule an appointment or provide additional information beyond what is necessary for your request.

Questions regarding information associated with Safe Haven Care may be directed to Safe Haven United Assembly using the contact information below.

The current version will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
